About Us

Mission

The BioTalk Magazine was launched in June 2020 with the goal to promote Biotechnology through articles that are accessible and reliable. We aim to build a community of scholars, students and professionals, where all biotechnology enthusiasts can collaborate and network on one platform. We release issues on a monthly basis and cater to a reader base of biotechnology, biological sciences and life sciences fields. We cover recent innovation and developments in our field, opinions on research and trends, journeys of successful biotechnologists and sci-fi movie reviews!

Scientists and students from across the world have recognized our mission and contributed to making our field accessible to everyone. We thank everyone who has been a part of The BioTalk community and welcome all those who wish to make a change.

Age doesn’t dictate one’s passion and ability to contribute to Science. Deepakshi proved this by launching The BioTalk Magazine and bringing students and scholars on one platform. Having completed her Undergraduate in Biotechnology Engineering, she is on her journey to pursue masters in the US. Learning from every opportunity at hand, she has built a very versatile profile for herself and is determined to promote Biotechnology’s immense potential globally.

With an interdisciplinary background in areas of Botany, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Plant Genetics, Conventional and Molecular Breeding and 9+ years’ of research experience, Dr. Nikhil Patil is a plant scientist in US with a zeal to address the challenges faced in improving food security and advancing sustainable agriculture, with integrated solutions. Through his doctoral degree from Texas A&M University and work experience spanning both academia and industry, Dr. Patil gained exemplary scientific and managerial abilities. Further, he has reviewed articles for refereed journals, judged multiple competitions and brings just the right enthusiasm The BioTalk Magazine needs.

Kadambini has a strong foundation in science and encompasses multiple facets of an educator. With a master’s degree and special skills of teaching and assessment across national and international boards of education, she brings a fair share of knowledge and creative inputs to the table. Her expertise in administrative affairs, information management and performance evaluation, along with her experience as a reviewer and editor for scientific and medical journals, makes her a fitting advisor for our magazine.

Bhairavi brings a creative side to The BioTalk Magazine by combining her passion for Biotechnology with her love for art. Readers have loved her “Netflix/Film reviews”, and she continues to promote science in more relatable and innovative ways. She employs her “thinking out of the box” skill to build our social media presence. Having completed her Engineering in Biotech, she is now set to pursue her Masters in the UK.
